Dirk-Jan Haakman is once again showcasing his full creativity. He reached out to Nikon, bringing the tulip and the corporation together. Numerous branches across the Netherlands, France, and Belgium were put in the spotlight by the head office with a gift of a beautiful bouquet of ‘Nikon’ tulips, forced and delivered by our own forcing facility, H&M Flowers.
On March 2, 2019, it was that time again. Americans were given the opportunity to pick a free bouquet of tulips. Even the rain did not deter people from queuing for at least two hours for the chance to pick a bunch. This initiative, organized in collaboration with Anthos, various tulip exporters, and a large grower from California, proved once again to be a great success. Haakman Flowerbulbs BV sent Michel to assist in setting up the floral display.
Haakman Flowerbulbs BV is testing new varieties in Japan to assess their suitability and sustainability for the future. This trial was set up in collaboration with several Japanese tulip exporters.
