CaTT cells fully in use – investing in quality and innovation

In July 2026, Haakman Flowerbulbs BV took an exciting new step: our specially developed ULO/CaTT treatment rooms are now fully operational. After a period of preparation and testing, the first treatment was completed successfully, and more than twenty-five treatments have been carried out since.

These gas-tight rooms allow us to store and treat flower bulbs under precisely controlled conditions. Throughout the entire process, conditions are continuously monitored. A good treatment starts at delivery: the cleaner and drier the bulbs are when they arrive, the better we can work together to safeguard quality throughout the entire chain.

With the ULO/CaTT technique, we are making a deliberate investment in quality, innovation and the future of our flower bulbs. Our first experiences are positive, and every treatment provides us with new knowledge. By closely tracking results and further optimising our processes, we continue to develop both ourselves and our treatment capabilities.

For Haakman Flowerbulbs BV, the commissioning of these new rooms is therefore more than an expansion of our capacity. It is the next step in our ambition to bring together practical experience, craftsmanship and new technology.
