Quality starts the moment you enter!

At Haakman Flowerbulbs BV, quality is our focus from the very first moment. Arjan van Ophem, quality inspector at Haakman, plays a key role in this. He is responsible for the incoming and outgoing inspection of our tulip bulbs.

The incoming inspection begins immediately after delivery. For this, Mr. Arjan uses our distinctive blue inspection tray with 100 compartments. From every lot, 100 bulbs are selected and assessed visually, one by one. He carefully examines their quality and checks whether the bulbs meet the agreed specifications.

Bulbs that do not meet the requirements or show any irregularities are set aside. Once all 100 bulbs have been inspected, the result is evaluated and recorded digitally. This gives us a clear and reliable picture of the quality of every lot from the moment it arrives.

It may seem like a small task, but it requires great precision and plays a vital role: the incoming inspection marks the start of our tulip bulb process.
